Schoolhouse Players

FLT’s Children’s Theatre, known as the Schoolhouse Players, is a group of adult volunteers who perform plays during the school day. Students come to the Theatre as part of a field trip from their various schools.

FLT is happy to bring the magic of live theatre into the lives of thousands of children each year, hoping to enrich their futures by giving them an appreciation of the arts. Since its inception twelve years ago, over 90,000 children have seen the plays offered by FLT’s Children’s Theatre. FLT is proud to play such an important role in the education of today’s youth.

Study Guides are available for each production shortly before each show and are mailed out to the teachers. The study guide is designed to enhance enjoyment and understanding of each play, FLT Study Guides include a description of the play, theatre etiquette, theatre terms, history, vocabulary, things to do, things to think about and activities to explore after seeing the performance. Great for teachers and parents!
